21-year-old Nika, a Ukrainian girl, is kidnapped. Two weeks from now Franco, a mob boss from the Zaprozha crime family, will send his men to collect her and ship her to work as a sex slave. Meanwhile, she must be kept safe in an anonymous apartment. Ivan is married to Natasha, father to Anastasia, and he's just lost all his money in a card game. The man holding the debt is Franco. Ivan is convinced that the deck was marked, but has no way of proving it. He tells Natasha and Anastasia that he found work in a lead factory and begins guarding Nika as a way of paying off the debt.
