The Pick Up

Everyone wants to be like dad when they grow up. For Brandon Williams becoming his old man may be a hard pill to swallow and an even harder one for those around him. While using his late father's summer home for a weekend getaway Brandon starts to unravel secrets from his father's past, as well as a few unsettling tendencies of his own. The trip starts with a bizarre encounter with a down on his luck clown (Frank), who Brandon befriends after assisting him with his broken down car, offering him a ride if he loses the silly make up. As the new pals get to know each other their joyride is interrupted when they nearly hit a disheveled girl (Bonnie) on the side of the road. The girl is bloodied and clueless to how she ended up roadside. The two men assist her and the three form a bond. Brandon convinces the two passengers to come spend the weekend at his Dad's place, as they all can use an escape from reality.
