  Written and executive produced by Roberts and Martel, The Romeos (stands for Retired Older Men Eating Out) has a Grumpy Old Men vibe and revolves around two completely dissimilar 65-year-old neighbors who join forces to take full advantage of their second acts — driving each other, and everyone around them, crazy in the process. 　　Roberts, a founding member of Upright Citizens Brigade, and Martel were executive producers & showrunners on Comedy Central’s Peabody Award-winning Key & Peele for its entire five-season run, sharing an Emmy nomination for Best Variety Sketch Series with the series’ creators/executive producers/stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. 　　Additionally, Roberts and Martel serve as executive producers/showrunners on TV Land’s upcoming comedy series Teachers, which debuts in January. The duo also wrote this year’s movie Get Hard starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart and won a WGA Award in 2014 for Best Comedy Variety Special with Blake Shelton’s Not So Family Christmas. They are repped by Verve and Principato-Young.
